Wandering the dim streets of NYC with James Cale last weekend. I can’t help but to be addicted to floral print. Forever 21 has some really chic separates for economy friendly prices woohoo! I can’t wait to share some of my new looks! Also, I wanted to share that I am in the process of revamping my blog! I will be introducing some exciting new topics! So, I am so sorry for the lack of posts the past few weeks. Things really have been crazy. I have been traveling back and forth to the city in the process of creating my jewelry collection. I can’t wait to make my visions become a reality. I’m a firm believer that if you work hard, and surround yourself with creativity, you can be whatever you want to be. I am very lucky and have such a supportive family, and boyfriend who is also a designer. They are always behind me through anything. Just remember to follow your heart, never give up, and it will lead you to where you want to be.

Waking on the beach in my favorite Cupid dress! I bought this dress a few years ago while visiting London. I’m obsessed with everything about this dress.. especially the velvet cupids!!  I sadly had taken more pictures this day of my dress but my film didn’t get developed properly:( Err.. So I will be sure to shoot this dress again for even more detail because it’s just so beautiful, and very unique. I’m a sucker for unique pieces:)

Also I mentioned in my last post that I am putting some amazing shoes on Ebay to bid on! My first shoe up for bidding is a pair of Jeffrey Campbell Leopard Foxy Platform’s in size 9 . These amazing platforms will be up for bidding for 9 more days. If you have an offer you can also email me:)

Happy New Year! I hope all of you had just as an amazing New Years as I did. Mine started off in New Hope at an old river house, and ended in Long Beach Island with a bathtub masquerade photo shoot. . I thought no better way to bring in the new year but to wear my favorite leopard dress designed by the Rodarte sisters. So many exciting things are already planned for the new year that I just can’t wait to share with you all! I just wanted to thank all of you that follow me and for all of your support! I love to follow all of you as well so please email me your blogs:)

Pine Barrens

(Photos by James Cale and Myself)

(Blondie wearing Forever 21 headband, necklace, dress, and shoes, Urban Outfitters skirt, Target jacket, Charlotte Russe lace tights, YSL arty ring, opal ring, and vintage blue ring.)

(James Cale wearing Ray Ban wayfarers, thrifted scarf, Urban Outfitters sweater, t-shirt, and jeans, Hot Topic belt, Topshop boots.)

The start of my weekend began with a photo shoot in the Pine Barrens. Quite some time ago I purchased this corduroy jacket from Target. I didn’t need to shop of coarse but the over sized buttons, and checkered lining really suckered me in. Gotta love those impulsive purchases:) It was freezing by the water yesterday! My feet kinda went numb from the cold and I almost toppled into the lake…Obviously heels are a bit dangerous for step uneven cliffs…Luckily James Cale saved me before falling lol.. On another note.. I’m really starting to get into hair accessories. This tulle headband was only a few dollars at Forever 21. Perfect for me, and anyone else who is on a budget! It’s an easy way to dress up a look, and cover up your roots!  Did I mention..James Cale is going to dye my roots for me tomorrow:)

cranberry bog

(Blondie wearing.. moms vintage leather fur coat, forever 21 hair bow, shoes, and polka dot belt, wet seal ruffle top, urban outfitters skirt, target tights, YSL Arty ring, Asos gold claw ring, and owl bracelet.)

(James Cale wearing.. vintage gray scarf, H&M Jacket, Asos silver claw ring, American Eagle t-shirt, Gap 1969 Jean, Top shop boots, studded belt.)

Playing around in the cranberry bogs was a ton of fun! James Cale had a brilliant idea to shoot here at the bogs. Like always, he is right on with picking great locations.  Earlier I was looking through my closet, and I found this amazing lined, vintage, red leather coat! It has this exquisite fur detailing around the collar that actually matches the colors in my hair. I know brilliant right! I later found out it was my moms when she was young. The best part I get to keep it! Yay! I seriously have grown to adore all types of outerwear. I must say though vintage jackets could be my new addiction. James Cale was also obsessed with the jacket he was wearing. I got it for him for an early Christmas present. It is not everyday you find a menswear military inspired jacket that has a perfect European fit like this one.

Lastly, I can’t wait to show a DIY’s I’m working up this week. Also, I am even more excited to tell you all… that I am continuing on to my true dream of jewelry design. I am starting classes in the spring at FIT in NYC! I can’t wait!

Be sure to stop by James Cale’s line, DETO International, and get some hot t-shirts for the men for the holidays :)

Outside the Flea.. Part One

(Ph. by James Cale)

(wearing Asos white tank, f21 floral skirt+ bracelets, Jonathan Ashton ripped tights, Aldo Eylenja ankle boots)

Since we will be moving to the west coast next year. James Cale and I decided to start taking even more frequent visits to NYC/ Brooklyn . We have discovered so many unique shopping spots over the years. James and I both have serious shopping issues and are huge children at heart. I wanted to share with you guys some of my favorite spots I like to visit in NYC/ Brooklyn. There are many.. so I will post a new adventure every week. We begin our first journey outside the hipster hot spot, “The Brooklyn Flea.” The Brooklyn flea is an amazing place to find  repurposed furniture, vintage clothing, collectibles, antiques, as well as  jewelry, art and crafts by local artisans and designers. It is also overflowing with stylish people. It is such a cool feeling when you walk into a place and everyone is dressed just as stylish as you. We attended on a Sunday at Hanston St. where the flea is held indoors at the Williamsburg savings bank. You can also go on Saturdays where the flea is held outside at Fort Green. Stay tuned for exclusive coverage tomorrow as I go inside and share with you all my vintage finds!
